The governance of the Teoumaville Community is built upon a foundation of traditional leadership integrated with a formal charitable association structure. At its core, the Teoumaville Community Council of Chiefs Charitable Association is designed to preserve unique customs and traditions while providing a modern legal framework to manage community affairs.
The administration is spearheaded by a Committee of office bearers who are elected or nominated during the Annual General Meeting. This body is responsible for:
Executive Management: Controlling and managing the day-to-day affairs of the Association.
Policy & Enforcement: Passing and enforcing bylaws to maintain safety and control criminal activity.
Dispute Resolution: Settling grievances between community members and disciplining those who violate established rules.
Community Development: Coordinating projects and activities that involve residents of all ages and genders.
To ensure every voice in Teoumaville is heard, the administration utilizes a "pillars" system. This decentralizes responsibilities across specialized representatives, including:
Traditional Leadership: A Council of Chiefs led by the President.
Safety & Security: The Community Safety Team (CST), which acts as the liaison between residents and traditional leaders.
Inclusivity: Dedicated representatives for women, youth, business, church groups, and persons with disabilities to ensure inclusive community growth.
This administrative structure ensures that Teoumaville remains a stable, culturally rich, and well-organized community for all residents of Stages 1, 2, and the surrounding areas.
